Canadian Experience Class is a program for immigration to Canada under Express Entry System, that helps candidates who have work experience from Canada to become Permanent Residents of Canada.
The minimum requirements for Canadian Experience Class are:
- Skilled Work Experience: Minimum 1 year of skilled work experience is required to be eligible to apply under Canadian Experience Class. This work experience has to be in the last 3 years and can be full time or equivalent part time. The work experience obtained as a refugee claimant, without authorisation and without temporary resident status will not be eligible. Also the work experience gained while being a full time student or self-employed is not counted towards the eligibility of this program.
- Language Ability: Minimum language abilities requirements is CLB 7 for TEER 0 and TEER 1 jobs and CLB 5 for TEER 2 and TEER 3 jobs.
- Education: There is no minimum requirement of education for Canadian Experience Class, however, you can get higher CRS score for your Canadian education equal to or higher than secondary school or equivalent foreign education. To get points for foreign education you must get your credentials evaluated from an authorized agency.
- Admissibility: You must not have any criminal history or serious health issues or any other reason that bars you from entering Canada.
- Express Entry: The FSW is managed under the Express Entry system, and if your CRS score is high enough, you’ll be invited to apply for permanent residence.
